First recorded in 1900-05 the origin of DEJA DUDE from French, meaning literally "already seen that dude".

Over 100 years later this phenomena brings together the Sopht Punks collective of the same name. Sopht? Yes, mostly. Punks? Probably, in a parallel dimension. "We could just feel it, when we all first met, y'know?" says unofficial band spokesperson Kris Krangle or KK as they prefer to be called. "We just knew we should do some sort of totally unprofitable art together, so music in the indie rock style seemed an obvious choice"

At this point, we're not quite sure who did what.

Guitars were played. Many guitars. Drums were pounded, cymbals crashed and boots stomped. Hands were clapped by all the friends. Melodies were imagined in our mind-brains and then re-created on digital and/or midi keyboards. We sang the best we could. Words were gathered from the ether and sequenced for maximum phonetic satisfaction.
